For those aspiring to develop the paddle and leadership skills and knowledge to teach and lead kayak programs, this unique flexible program will give you a wide range of training and practical experience. Participants can come with little experience and knowledge and develop their skills / knowledge through a combination of courses and mentoring opportunities, helping out with courses and tours. Training included in this program;
Paddle Canada Level 1 & 2 Kayak Skills Certifications
Paddle Canada Camping Basics & Wilderness Camping Skills Certifications
Paddle Canada Level 1 Kayak Instructor Certification
Paddle Canada Camping Basics Instructor Certification
and in order to offer perspective of other disciplines we also include
Paddle Canada Basic & Advanced Flatwater SUP Skills Certification
Paddle Canada Introduction Coastal Canoe Skills Certification
(Additional skill and instructor courses can be added at a 50% discount)
Participants can begin at any time and can typically complete all requirements in one season but may take longer depending on your availability.
Prerequisites
- At Least 16 Years of Age
- 14 hours of first-aid including CPR (can be completed during the program time frame but required before instructing / leading courses)
