Paddle Canada Sea Kayaking Instructor Courses
Register Early - Instructor courses require a minimum registration. Programs without enough registration will be removed 1 month prior to give interested participants time to reschedule.
Only a $50 deposit is required to book your space. Once the course is confirmed we will send a link for the remainder.
Paddle Canada Basic Sea Kayaking Instructor
2.5 Days - 20 hours
The Basic Sea Kayaking Course certifies paddlers to teach the Paddle Canada Waterfront Kayak and Basic Sea Kayak Program. Can assist on the Paddle Canada Level 1 Sea Kayaking Program and Kayak Rolling Clinics.
Prerequisites -
At Least 16 years of age
- Paddle Canada Level 1 Skills Certification
- 14 hours of first-aid including CPR
- Significant paddling experience in a variety of conditions
Paddle Canada Level 1 Sea Kayaking Instructor
4 Days - 32 hours
The Level 1 Sea Kayaking Course certifies paddlers to teach the Paddle Canada Waterfront Kayak, Basic Sea Kayak and Level 1 Sea Kayak Programs. Can assist on the Paddle Canada Level 2 Sea Kayaking Program and Kayak Rolling Clinics.

- Paddle Canada Level 2 Skills Certification
- 14 hours of first-aid including CPR
- 30 Days paddling experience
Paddle Canada Level 2 Sea Kayaking Instructor
5 Days - 40 hours
The Level 2 Sea Kayaking Course certifies paddlers to teach the Paddle Canada Waterfront Kayak, Basic Sea Kayak, Level 1 Sea Kayak and Level 2 Sea Kayak Programs. Can assist on a Paddle Canada Level 3 Sea Kayaking Program
Prerequisites
- At Least 18 years of age
- Paddle Canada Level 3 Skills Certification
- Paddle Canada Level 1 Instructor Certifcation
- Teaching Experience - 15 days logged teaching Level 1 Courses
- Teaching Experience - 2 full Level 1 Courses as Lead Instructor in past 3 years
- Significant paddling experience in a wide variety of conditions / locations
